Mill of the Myths
53" x 37" x 3"
hand colored archival inkjet prints, gold paint and leaf, straw
Three is the magic number in all myths and fairy stories. Here are three panoramic prints showing The William Tell and Golden Fleece Flour Mill in a black and white American landscape of long ago. The prints mirror themselves magically. All three are the same size running off into the same mythical distance. All three have golden windows and all three are producing golden smoke. Surrounding the prints is the golden straw Rumpelstiltskin required of his beautiful fairy tale prisoner each night in fairy tale hell.
